Local Exhaust Ventilation

Some work environments can create dusts, mists, fumes and vapours that can be hazardous. People can develop health issues if they have breathed in airborne contaminants at work, such as flour dust in bakeries, mist from paint spraying, fumes from welding or solvents from painting.

A properly designed, maintained and operated local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system can remove airborne contaminants before people breathe them in and will protect employees' health.

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), companies must ensure the health and safety of workers and that others are not put at risk from your work. They must eliminate risks so far as is reasonably practicable. Where elimination isn’t possible, they must minimise risks so far as is reasonably practicable.

Airzone has proven capability in the of design and installation of solutions in complex LEV environments. It is a specialist area which requires assessment of risk and then careful selection of control measures, including training and ongoing monitoring as part of the overall solution.

We also partner with New Zealand’s leading Occupational Hygienists to ensure best practice solutions are put in place.
